CCF Participation to 2008 3G CDMA Middle East and Africa Regional Conference in cape town
The CDMA Certification Forum to announce its 2008 objectives including a new certification process.
San Diego, Calif., March 5th, 2008 - The CCF (CDMA Certification Forum) a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving test efficiency in order to improve time to market and cost associated with CDMA device certification has announced its participation to the 2008 3G CDMA Middle East and Africa Regional Conference.

Organized by The African CDMA Forum, an organization affiliated to the CDG and whose main objective is to lead the rapid evolution and deployment of 3G CDMA-based systems in greater Africa, the 2008 3G CDMA Middle East and Africa Regional Conference will take place March 12th to 14th in Cape Town, South Africa. The Theme of this year’s conference is Path to Profit: Implementing Winning CDMA Services in the Middle East and Africa.

“The Africa CDMA Forum and the CCF share the same focus; rapidly bringing to market the best quality CDMA solutions at the best price”, says Thomas Erickson, president and CEO of the CCF. “2008 is a very important year for the CCF and the CDMA industry in general. We want the conference attendees to find out about the great projects the CCF is working on and how we can help them succeed in the CDMA industry. One exciting news we will share with the conference attendees is the transfer of the CDG’s System Test Team (STT) work and documents to the CCF that will allow us to soon provide the CDMA2000® industry with a single, streamlined global device certification process.”

The consolidated process currently being developed by the CCF team will allow vendors to achieve new economies of scale and deliver products faster when qualifying a device for multiple markets or for multiple operators within a single market. The new process will be available this year. Other CCF projects that will be presented during the conference include Inbound Roaming and Open Market Certification.
